As part of our ongoing commitment to the communities we serve, Payce Digital has expanded its community outreach efforts with a renewed focus on three primary areas, namely, education and youth, social care and environmental awareness, leading to the launch of a new Pay It Forward School Internship Initiative.
This summer, the Payce Digital team welcomed a total of four students from St. George Secondary School and Parkinson Memorial Secondary School. The internship program ran for two weeks, from August 18th to 29th, and provided hands-on experience across all the departments within the Company.
Designed to give students an immersive work experience within a dynamic environment, such as Payce Digital, the interns were able to gain actual work experience that can contribute to their overall development.
Additionally, they attended empowerment sessions hosted by the CEO, Alison Browne-Ellis and other Senior Managers. The first cohort also benefited from a presentation given by Shanese Cumberbatch, HR Business Support Partner, focusing on how to remain employable.
At the end of the program, the students were given job performance assessments and encouraged to continue to build their personal brand through consistency, a strong work ethic, a good attitude, and making excellence their trademark as they enter the world of business.
